French Exams
The DELF and DALF are globally recognized certificates awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French language skills of non-French candidates. If you want an official certificate to demonstrate your proficiency as a French speaker, DELF is the most widely recognised French exam. There are no grades: you either pass or fail.

DELF stands for Diplôme d’études en langue française (Diploma of French-language studies).
DALF stands for Diplôme approfondi de langue française (Advanced diploma in French language)
There are six independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the six levels of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
The DELF DALF examinations presented in Kenya are:
-
DELF DALF Tout Public for General Public from 17 years old
-
DELF Junior for children aged from 12 to 17 years old
-
DELF Prim for school children from 6 to 12 years old
(DELF Prim and DELF Junior are perfectly fit to kids and teenagers between 6 and 17 years old. The DELF Prim /Junior version has the same basic structure as the standard DELF. Only the topics are different: the materials take into account the interests of young people.)
Each examination comprises sections testing the four skills: oral production & reception and written production & reception.
